In the Personalized Lifecycle CRM department, we're dedicated to creating solutions that empower our marketing teams to deliver personalized, compelling, timely, and eco-friendly product and sport recommendations to our customers, in order to grow their experience within the Decathlon’s products and sports ecosystem. In this stimulating environment, your role will be to shape the CRM offering of tomorrow, alongside the software and the team that powers it.

• Technical Guidance: Providing technical expertise and guidance to the team members. This involves helping them understand the technical requirements of the project, making architecture decisions, and providing solutions to technical challenges.
• Mentorship and Development: Supporting the professional growth and development of team members by advocating for pair programming, providing mentorship, coaching, and opportunities for learning. This includes identifying individual strengths and areas for improvement and providing constructive feedback to help team members reach their full potential.
• Team Collaboration: Leading by example and fostering a positive and collaborative team culture. This includes setting clear expectations, facilitating communication, and promoting knowledge sharing among team members.
• Code Quality and Best Practices: Ensuring that the team follows best practices in software development, including writing clean, maintainable and testable code, following coding standards, and conducting code reviews to identify and address any issues.
• Technology and business acumen : Identifying potential risks and technical challenges early in the project lifecycle and proactively proposing tradeoffs to meet business goals. This may involve conducting technical assessments, proposing alternative solutions.
• DevSecOps: Contributing to the team’s DevSecOps culture and practices, by deploying every day to production without interrupting service, improving alerting and monitoring, shifting left on security and managing incidents.Scalability and resilience: Design an architecture that can scale to all Decathlon's 70 countries around the world, spread over multiple continents while ensuring a high availability.Project Planning and Execution: Collaborating with stakeholders to define project requirements, estimate effort, and plan project milestones. Breaking down tasks with the team, splitting responsibilities, and tracking progress to ensure timely delivery.

What you bring

• 7+ years of Experience. You are a seasoned senior software engineer.
• Software Architectures Mastery. You are Proficient in microservices, design patterns, event streaming, testable code, BDD/TDD
• Java Proficiency. You have a good command of Java (Spring/Spring Boot)
• Experience with batch processing and streaming technologies
• Experience in building software at scale. You have a proven track record in scaling services globally in an production environment and improving resilience
• Mentorship Skills. You have strong coaching and mentoring abilities for high-quality software delivery
• Agile Proficiency. You have a sharp understanding and execution of Agile methodologies and continuous delivery
• Production Mindset. You embrace the "You build it, you run it" ethos with experience with automation and observability, shift left security, as well with managing incidents and Service Level Objectives.
• Cross-team Collaboration. You are effective in building relationships and driving goal-oriented projects across teams.

Nice to Have

• Use the “Accelerate” principles to improve delivery performance and developers experience.
• Experience with containers and orchestration.
• Experience with load, stress and performance testing.
• Knowledge about Machine Learning and Data pipelines.
• Experience with Salesforce APIs and SDKs
